To celebrate our Kiwi friends and Kiwi connections, MCOW Ambassador alums Kailey Baxter (2018), Sofia Jorgenson (2018) and Morgan Taubenheim (2019) made Lolly Cake today! It was delicious! Special thanks to Jane Mika for the malt biscuits and Eskimo lollies.
In honor of what would have been the warm welcome of our New Zealand friends to Sea-Tac airport today, we encourage our former MCOW Ambassadors, hosts, teachers and families to stop & think of your favorite memory or connection you made in your experience. Feel free to leave a memory or comment on the blog post on the website or social media, or perhaps reach out with a quick hello to a Kiwi you know!

We went to New Zealand with MCOW in February 2018 and it was nothing short of spectacular in every way. We have many vivid memories of this incredible experience. Wellington. Invercargill. Dunedin. Queenstown. Stewart Island. Ferns. Kiwis. Penguins. Tuatara. Albatross. Hokey Pokey. Cadbury Crunchies. Pineapple Lumps. Hot Chips. The Beehive. Lord of the Rings. World’s Steepest Street. Ziplines. Night in a museum. New friends at James Hargest College. The Haka. The Hongi. Mayor Tim. Sheep Farms. Dairy Farms. Te Rau Aroha Marae in Bluff. Queen’s Park. Rugby. The friendliest and most amazing people we’ve ever encountered. Incredible host families (big shout out to the Russell’s and Mika’s). 23,000 miles traveled. Smiles, laughs, tears, hugs, pure joy, breath-taking views. Memories for life. BEST. TRIP. EVER. Sofia Jorgenson (Student Ambassador) & Charles Jorgenson (Parent Chaperone), 2018
